SWAYAMBUNATH or known as the Monkey Temple is an ancient stupa of the most important Buddhist temples in Kathmandu, Nepal.
According to Buddhist legend, was once (about 2,000 years ago) in that place there are lotus flowers that grow perfectly in the middle of a big lake around the Kathmandu Valley. But when Bodhisattva Manjusri dry lake with a sword, a lotus flower was still there and turned into a stupa (swayambhu).
What can be done there? First of all you can see the big picture of Buddha on the wall under the stairs. After that, down the eastern part of the temple by climbing 365 steep stairs or use a taxi and walk to the summit from the west side of the temple.

A protection of quiet in the old town area of Shanghai, the Confucius Temple (Wen Miao Temple) dedicated to the worship of Confucius and the study of texts. Visiting this temple, you will feel the serenity as well as find out snippets of history from one of the influential figures in China.
Confucius or Confucianism is the wise and social philosopher of China. Filsafahnya concerned with personal morality and government, and became popular because of the strong principle in Chinese traditional characteristics. By the followers of religions of Confucianism, he also recognized as a prophet.
Confucius Temple is located at the southwest corner of the old city of Shanghai, on the north side of Jalan Wen Miao (Miao Wen Lu). Temple complex consists of three parallel lines from south to north. The first lane (west) for public worship and sacrifice, the central point for learning, while the third lane is dominated by nature.
Line of worship starting from the main entrance or the Ling Xing Gate. Ling Xing Gate is made of gray stone and protected by a lion, this is the traditional entrance to the Temple of Confucius. The name of the gate itself is taken from the gates of heaven to the altar used by ancient Chinese emperors.
Other Gate (Da Cheng) leads to a page square flanked by buildings with a few gift shops that also displays the Ming and Qing tablet.
Moving into the north end of the main page, you will see the Da Chang Hall, which contains a statue of Confucius. The statue is carved out of lime tree is in a sitting position and flanked by his favorite musical instruments, drums and bells.
While on the walls of the room, you’ll see the ornate stone tablet engraved with the text of Analects, a collection of Confucius’s teachings compiled by his disciples.
Turning to the second line that starts at the south end, after going through the Gate Xue, Yi Gate you will find that traditionally required to pass appropriate clothing.
On the north side of the Yi Gate, you can see Rain’s Hall on the right. Then as it approached the center of the complex, Ming Lun Hall has been stood waiting. The building was originally the lecture hall but is now used as a museum of root carving.
Then you can continue the journey to the north end towards Zun Jing Pavilion. It originally was a library that contains classic works of Confucianism, but now has become a museum of stone Ling Bi from Anhui Province.
Continue to the third lane on the east side, you will find Kui Xing three-storey pagoda which is the oldest structure in the Temple of Wen Miao. Hexagonal structure of this pagoda has a height of 20 meters. Kui Xing Pagoda are among a small garden.

VISITING tourist sites of Luxor in Egypt, you will see the Colossi Memnon, known by locals as el-es-colossat or by God. These are two huge stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who has been maintaining the cemetery Theba during the 3400 year across the River Nile from Luxor city.

Indian Temple in Medan? It seems not a common thing, especially with its Indian-style. But when it comes to this town, try sempatkanlah stopped by Shri Mariamman Temple to see its unique architecture. Besides the unique architecture, Shri Mariamman Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in the city of Medan. The temple near the river was built in 1881 by Tamil people, India, as a form of homage and worship to the Goddess Kali.
Building the temple is similar to the Shri Mariamman Hindu temple in Singapore and Penang, Malaysia. Typical architecture influenced by Indian culture. You can see it in the decoration gopuram (gate), colored green on the temple gate. Another peculiarity is above the gate of the temple, where you can see a picture of two angels who were carrying a large flower necklace. Or an elephant statue on the temple that symbolizes the sacred animals in Hindu belief.
