LA Grande Dune du Pyla is located in southwest France on the Atlantic coast, rises abruptly from the surrounding forest. With a height of 107 meters above sea level, this is the highest sand dunes in Europe is estimated to contain 60 million cubic meters of sand. Pyla sand dune is one of the beautiful places on earth to spend your vacation. Here, you can swim, play paragliding or just sit back enjoy the stunning views of the Bassin d’Arcachon, the bay below the sand dunes. In addition, there are also some places under the tent at the dunes, where you can access Payla with a large staircase. To climb, you need stamina to prime for quite time consuming.
The best time to visit La Grande Dune du Pyla is when summer vacation ends. Holidays in France long enough and when you visit these dunes around September, you must have the best time. Dune du Pyla standing in the hill area in the western part of the Aquitaine region. During the 18th century and the 19th, the area was planted with pine trees (pine pinaster) and is the largest pine forests in Europe.
