PARA nature lovers, try to come to paradise hidden in North Sumatra named Tangkahan in Gunung Leuser National Park. Dense forest and amazing topography around it, making this Tangkahan become extraordinary sights, especially if you want to climb the elephant. In Tangkahan, you will find about seven trained elephants who are ready to travel around the forest even though their primary role is to patrol and protect national parks from illegal activities such as hunting and logging.
Before traveling with the elephant, when it reached the Tangkahan, first you have to pay Rp 2,000 at the visitor center and then continue the journey to a river. Arriving at the river bank, your back must pay Rp 10 thousand per person and can cross at will for three days. Your costs do not seem to be comparable with the scenery around the river is still very beautiful with rows of verdant forest around them. Plus the surface of clear water in the river would make this scene more and look perfect.
If this visit an elephant camp, you just down the river for 15-20 minutes from the visitor center at Tangkahan. You will see the elephants being bathed in at 9:00 pm and 16:00 pm. But to visit the elephant camp, you first must buy a ticket for Rp 2,000.

Sound waves breaking noisy speedboats Kumai waters that morning. I and a fellow journalist who was driving the boat with Edi Yamaha outboard engine, are beginning an adventure into Tanjung Putting National Park (TNTP).
This area is known throughout the world thanks to habibat orang utan (Pongo pygmaeus).
Its location extends to 415 hectares in two districts in the province of Central Kalimantan, West and Seruyan Kotawaringin.
