1. Kourion, Cyprus
Kourion or Curium is a town in Cyprus, which lasted from ancient times until the early Middle Ages. Kourion is located on the southern coast of the island to the west of the river Lycus. Ruins of Kourion, near the modern town of Episkopi, located in one of the most fertile places on the island. Also of interest is the public bathhouse, Nymphaeum, cemeteries, home fountains, home and home Achilles gladiators.

The most spectacular site at Kourion is the Greek-Roman theater that is now used for musical and theatrical performances. Read the rest of this entry »
