It’s hard to believe that less than one year ago, most of the shops stood with emptiness. Meanwhile, Brixton Market itself had destined to be dismantled. But in the last six months, at Electric Avenue Brixton Market has been stretched back. Revitalization project led by the Space Makers nonprofit organizations in cooperation with the Friends of Brixton, again making this market as a community center.
These markets are not so lucky because previously dismantled the Friends of Brixton, which is a local group, succeeded in entering this market to the list of the Ministry of Culture for heritage protection.
