Down the road all the way from Ho Chi Minh City – a replacement of the city which was originally named Saigon – we seemed to realize that half the population of this town his job cooking and selling food, while the other half is the consumer. Such traits also appeared in Bangkok and in several Indonesian cities. Selling food is a kind of business it seems that most people first think of any Asian. You see, everyone must eat, right?
However, traders class food vendors in Saigon and Bangkok so much more variety and types compared with what we see in Indonesia. In Indonesia, we often see a road filled with boiled and roasted corn sellers – all the same and rows. Or along the street all selling fried bananas. If it is to the Jakarta Fair, for instance, my own bingungDi cities Thailand and Vietnam, the trafficker is smarter to understand diversity. In one short segment near Ben Thanh Market, for example, we easily find dozens of different types of food. Seller fruit slices, roasted corn, corn on the cob, Juhi (dried squid that is burned and then ditokok-tokok with a hammer), carrot cake (cake kark char), various types of lemper or lemang (main ingredient of white rice and black rice, but different contents kinds, such as: red beans, chicken, beef, pork, etc.), baguette (french bread) with various contents (shrimp, beef, roast duck, etc.), noodle soup, as well as much more. Choosing a restaurant in Rome can be not so easy, filled as the Eternal City is with hundreds of excellent places. The good news is that it’s rare to get bad food. The even better news is that we’ve narrowed down your choices. Our restaurant il secchio has a wide range of flavours of the roman food.
Rome is not only the capital of culture, history, art and charme: Rome is also the home of Italy’s most delicious ingredients.
Roman meals normally include at least three separate courses: pasta, a main course (usually a meat dish with vegetables or salad), and dessert. Meats, though tasty, are definitely secondary to the pasta dishes, which are generous and filling. The wine is so excellent (especially the white Frascati that comes from the nearby Castelli Romani) and affordable that you might want to do as the Romans do and have it with both lunch and dinner. Many Hong Kong people called this place is the best shopping paradise of Asia. I initially was a bit hesitant with this claim. Shopping malls in Singapore and Indonesia was more magnificent and attractive in terms of design. Hong Kong may be superior because it is the entrance to the world fashion trends. Newer collections of international brands to appear first in Hong Kong Fashion Week, and then extended to other areas in Asia. What is hot in Indonesia this week, may have enjoyed the people in Hong Kong three weeks ago.
I did not diligently follow fashion trends. For business spending, the only Hong Kong’s attraction for me was the H & M, the department store is selling shirts with a good quality men relatively affordable price. This store has not opened branches in Singapore and Indonesia, although some of the goods labeled “made in Indonesia”. This is the consequence of the free market sucks, I have to cross the ocean as far as 3200 miles to buy a shirt that may be made of mothers neighbor’s house. Read the rest of this entry »
