We arrived in London last night, we stayed at the Jubilee Hotel. The hotel is located close to Victoria Station, just walk about 5 minutes. The hotel is only a level of Bed & Breakfast, but because it was in central London, a night rate that we can ? The bathroom is outside (shared), but never line up (FYI,  certainly lazy winter shower). Small bed (maybe 140 or 160cm) heated to drive out the cold and can be used to hang wet clothes. Not bad for a single night pass, why would a luxury-a luxury if only for passengers to sleep.

Morning wake up at 8, showered quickly, and into the dining room got a free breakfast for 2 people, a Home bread breakfast of toast, juice, coffee, tea, and cereal. Direct meal tonight checkout for staying in other hotels (we wanted to feel some kind of hotels in different places). Luggage can be left at the hotel with pay? 1 per piece. And we are ready to explore the city of London.

Morning in London is very beautiful, especially this day is Sunday. Along Buckingham Palace Road, past the back of Victoria Station and go on without a purpose, want to feel the atmosphere of the city and the pedestrian is wide and quiet. And indeed even walk in the cold month of March, pedestrian city of London is very convenient, just wear comfortable shoes only. It turned out the way it ended 10 minutes at Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth’s court. It was 9 o’clock in the morning so this court could still quiet and unlimited photos. 11 hours later there was event “Changing Guard”, an event once every 2 days which looked forward to the tourists.

Buckingham Palace

Using the London Free Map obtained overnight, past St. James Park is a beautiful and spacious we headed Parliament House where the clock Big Ben’s famous. Walk about 15 minutes arrived at the building that is brown. The parliament building is situated lane Thames River which divides the city of London. Here too there is the Westminster Bridge and Westminster Tube Station. The London Eye is also clearly visible from here because it’s not far from here.

Having satisfied the photos at Big Ben and a river view, the following plan was to British Visitor Center on Regent St. to take the London Pass. This is a credit card-sized card, a kind of tickets that can be used to get into a lot of tourist attractions and museums without having to pay again. There are several options depending on how many days you want to use. Pass price I bought this per person is £ 44.10 for 2 days. There are also options for packages with travel (meaning Tube, buses, trains also free) but should select option pass it. I’ve bought this pass in advance through the Internet, but the pass card must be taken in their offices. So I use the tube to Piccadilly Circus Station, then along the Regent St. Their office is not far from tube station. Live show print-out proof of purchase, and the officers will be given a complete pass card chip.

It was nearly 10:30 hrs, we had to hurry back to Buckingham Palace to witness the “Changing Guard”. Exit through the Green Park Underground Station, immediately greeted by St. James Park is beautiful, the road reached 5 minutes in the courtyard that was filled by thousands of people. The procession is actually very simple, but it became compulsory viewing tourists in London. Conducted 2 days, a procession to the palace guard troops exchange, the new troops into the army to replace the old with the handover ceremony. The Queen is never seen here, so do we see the attractions lined up and riding only. Great, well, this is just a simple ceremony watched by thousands of people, this is called Tourism Marketing.

And next we walk back to the London Eye. We could ride the tube, but it seems more comfortable on foot. On Sunday afternoon it was crowded but the ride was not until the queue for hours, I think just 10 minutes from the ticket queue to ride this thing. Buy tickets once in office for £ 15.50 per person, we can go into a jumbo-sized capsule for 1 rotation around the capsule 30 minute.  We can see the size of London, and was amazed because the pollution was drinking. Information according to the eye can reach 40 km away. One capsule can be filled about 20 people, when it was just filled with 10 people. Well because it is not possible use a tripod to photograph the two, we ask for help from others in the capsule for photos. Do not be shy ask for photos, the average European tourist was very friendly even though his face ‘look’ is not friendly.

Later on along the river Thames, towards the Golden Jubilee Bridge. A pedestrian bridge across the river, and at the end there is a train station Embankment. Go on back is met Trafalgar Square and National Gallery Museum. Enter into this museum, was very broad and could get lost. It contained nothing interesting for my size, so only briefly. Time was around 3 pm, today quite a lot has street.

Another bus to Victoria Station destination back to the hotel. It’s time to take a suitcase and moved to the hotel Travelodge King’s Cross Royal Scott. Bus in London is very nice, always a bus stop not far away from where you are. And provided guidance to the board a list of all buses that pass along the route. There are also instructions all the buses passing near the area and location of its shelter. For example you’re at the bus stop A, there are also signs and route number information for the bus stop across the street (eg bus stop B), and the next block (stop C and D). Sophisticated in some bus stops have even more information how many minutes are you waiting for the bus will arrive.

Travelodge Hotel which we were headed situated near the train station St. Pancras. Exit from the station, turned out to be the road about 10 minutes. We booked this hotel through the Internet for £ 29 and £ 49 per night. Very cheap! The hotel is embraced low-cost system, there are no amenities such as soap and shampoo, but towels are provided. When told that checking was night there was no reception (they are more economical night shift workers) and go out into the main door of the hotel using the card.

Travelodge King’s Cross Royal Scott  Well, quite a large hotel room, equipped with television 14 “and a soft bed. Anyway I am happy to stay at this hotel.

  • Appreciating an article like this is really will make me happy. Spamming has really been an abuse, not only blaming the site quality but also wasting an article of such information, publishers are really happy when they get comments appreciating their hard work, But it hurts when its spammed just for promotion of a product but not the information.
