DragonKomodo National Park lies between the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara in the coordinates 119 º 09 ‘00 “- 119 º 55′ 00″ BT and 8 º 20 ‘00 “- 8 º 53′ 00″ S, consists of three large islands of Komodo Island , Rinca, and Padar Island and several small islands. National park land territory is 603 km ² and the total area is 1817 km ². In the administrative area in TN Komodo Komodo subdistrict, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

Access: To get to the komodo dive sites can be reached by Liveaboard from Bali, but will cost quite a lot. Can also be achieved by a flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo and then continued by using a boat trip to Komodo. Live Aboard from Labuan Bajo also available for those who want it. Lodging is widely available in Labuan Bajo with the price and facilities vary widely.

Overview Dive Site: There are some famous sites in Komodo include Red Beach, Batu Bolong and Batu Tiga. Diving in Komodo is a complete start to see pigmy seahorse Nudibranch and a very small but charming, colorful reef fish, sharks, barracuda and other big fish to manta wings that stretch to reach 5 meters in Komodo. Coupled with the diversity of underwater topography ranging from flat to reef wall you can enjoy. Most of the dive sites in Komodo strong and have current needs precise calculations that are not recommended beginner divers to dive in this area.

The best dive time: April to December

Conservation Status: Komodo National Park is set to be since 1980. This national park was established to protect the Komodo dragon and its habitat, endangered species mix of Asia and Australia and at least 253 coral species and about 1,000 species of fish.
